Privacy policy
The short version: your JSON is processed by your own browser and never reaches us.

What we collect
Nothing you type, paste, open, or convert. Every tool on jsonformatterviewer.com — formatting, validating, viewing, minifying, diffing, and every converter — runs entirely as JavaScript inside your browser tab. Your document is never transmitted to us, and we have no database that could store it.
We do not ask for a name, an email address, or a payment method. There are no accounts to create and no sign-in.
Files you open
Opening a file, or dragging one onto the page, uses the browser's local File API. The file is read on your device and never uploaded.
Local storage
For convenience, your most recent document is kept in your browser's localStorage (up to roughly 500 KB), along with small preferences such as your theme and indent width. This data stays on your device, is readable only by this site in this browser, and is never sent anywhere.
You can remove it at any time with the Clear button in the editor, or by clearing site data for this domain in your browser settings.
Cookies and tracking
We set no cookies. There is no analytics script, no advertising network, no session replay, no fingerprinting, and no embedded third-party widget. Fonts are compiled into the site at build time, so the page loads assets only from this origin.
Server logs
The site is static and served by a hosting provider. Like any web host, that provider may record standard request metadata — IP address, timestamp, requested path, and user agent — for security and abuse prevention. Those logs contain the page you requested; they never contain your JSON, because your JSON is never sent in a request.
Children
The site is a general-purpose developer utility and is not directed at children under 13. As we collect no personal information from anyone, we hold none from children either.
Your rights
Rights to access, correct, export, or delete personal data — under the GDPR, the CCPA, or similar laws — apply to data a service holds about you. We hold none. The only data associated with your use of this site lives in your own browser, entirely under your control.
Changes
If this policy changes, the revision date above changes with it. Material changes would only follow a change in how the site works — for example, if a feature ever needed a server.
Verify it yourself
Do not take our word for it. Open your browser devtools, switch to the Network tab, and format a document — you will see no requests. Or load the page, disconnect from the network, and keep working.
